SCSI to Fibre Channel Converters

The Tamar Fibre Channel to SCSI bridge allows standard SCSI discs, tapes and libraries to be cost effectively added to a fibre channel SAN with the minimum of technical support or knowledge. The Tamar has 1Gbit or 2 Gbit connectivity via a SFP (Small Form Factor Pluggable) GBIC and is available with either two LVD or two HVD SCSI interfaces.

Fibre channel offers the mix of both high speed (200 MBytes/sec full duplex) and long distance (over 10 Km per link) so is being utilised in many computer systems worldwide. The Tamar bridge offers what we believe is the lowest cost bridge both in terms of initial investment and total cost of ownership.

				The FS200-LVD is a 1U high, 19" Rack mount 2 GB Bridge with 1 Fibre and 2 LVD SCSI connections. Each SCSI connection will run up to 160 MBytes/sec and support up to 15 SCSI ID's. Configuration if required is via a serial interface using the simple programme supplied. The unit comes complete with rack mount kit, serial cable and power cord. Will accept 1 Gbit or 2 Gbit SFP with either copper, shortwave fibre or long wave fibre.
